Constitution


Article I: Name

The name of this Association shall be the Helena Trail Riders.

Article II: Purpose

The purpose of this Association shall be: (a) to encourage the owning, training and breeding of range and purebred horses; (b) to promote and develop good horsemanship and sportsmanship; to foster and perpetuate the customs, traditions and dress of the Old West; (d) to promote and cultivate friendly relations with other riding and horse clubs in Montana and elsewhere; (e) for the social and recreational pleasure of individual members by means of programs and entertainments devoted to the above-mentioned subjects and by participating in rides and equestrian games and sports; (f) to sponsor and promote O-Mok-See, drill teams, trail rides and other equestrian activities for all interested participants; and (g) to stimulate public interest, especially the interest of young people, in equestrian activities.

Article III: Membership

Any person shall be eligible for membership.

Article IV: Amendments

This Constitution may be amended at any regular meeting of the Association by a two-thirds vote of the voting members in attendance provided, however, that notice of such proposed amendment or amendments shall be given to such Association by publication to all members and also at the regular meeting preceding the submission of such proposed amendment.
